Atachment Questions

I setup a forums inside my network infrastructure to use it as a technical database. My problem is that while I could add attachments smaller than 1mb, I can't add attachment bigger than 1 mb. On the Admin page, under attachment Filesize settings I specify a value of 0 to all 3 boxes to unlimit the size of attachment. I get the following error when trying to attach a larger document to a post.

upload error: Could not upload attachment to ./files/stprintfix.exe

stprintfix.exe is the file I'm trying to upload and is about 2.5mb big.

I also try copying the file to the files folder, and then creating a link in the post with the url http://techweb/forum/files/stprintfix.exe but it would not recognize as a web link. Does anyone know why this is happening or if I should be doing something differently.

I even created a htm page with just the link to this file and when trying to post it in the forums it still wont recognize it as a url. This is what I see when I submit the post.

I just posted the above url and it seems to work fine in your forums, in my forums I'm able to see [url] and [/url] at the begginig and end of the link.

One more thing, this file stprintfix.exe that I'm trying to upload I see it under shadow attachments under the System admin page. I could even click on it an download it, but it would not attach or post in the regular forum.
