It seems that all of a sudden the menu in my admin panel has gone blank. It only shows the statistics on the right hand side. I've tried to put back an old version of index.php and admin.php but it doesn't work.
the problem seems to happen with other administrators (computers) as well... Somebody out there who could check my source code? If there is, please let me know which code you need.
PS I can read German, but can't write it.... |

It's version 5.02
I see now that the build version is from 26th november 2004. Could that be the problem?? I really thought I had messed something up with a Mod.
I won't be back untill tomorrow so I'm not too fast with replying today... |

phpbb works with php 5 as far as I know but NOT all MODs.
Do you have a backup of the last version of your board? |

@methos: There is already a large thrad about this prob lem. Try and search for
mmcache. This might be a solution for you. |

Try this out:
Delete all files (backup first!!!) from your admin/ directory of your board. Now upload only these files without admin_ before the file Name. Now run your ACP and the left frame must be visible. Upload every other .php file of your old admin direcotry again till your admin navigation gets blank. So you identified the malicious files and you can try to fix them. If you have knowledge base Mod and/or Statistic hack I gan give you my files, I already fixed them. |

The Junior Admin also can block the ACP navi. I'd already made a fix for this. |

OMG I found a way to fix this! I can admin my site again!
It is not really a fix as it is a work around. I did what someone above said and deleted all the files in the /forum/admin folder (backup first) and uploaded all the files without admin_ infront of them and loaded the administrator panel. Then upload each admin_* file one by one and refresh after each file uploads. This will load each file into the left panel and when it goes white/blank you know which file is having issues loading.
For me the files with issues are listed below;
admin_links_cat.php
admin_pa_ug_auth.php
admin_statistics.php
Try rename those 3 files to *.php.backup and load your admin panel and see if this works. It did for me. Now, who can php code and fix those files? |
