Installing prob :s

Hi,

I have a website with PHP-nuke installed, now i wanna integrate phpbb2 in it, I uploaded the files to a seperate folder and let my browser point to that folder, instead of seeing the install screen, I get this:

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not query config information

Whatever file I open, I always get this error, what could be the problem?

Hey Guys,

I don´t know why you didn´t get an answer, but i think maybe it´sbecause of the english language.

So the first problem :

Could not query config information

That´s a problem with the database, so have a look in the config.inc.php, maybe your entries about the database connection are wrong.

The error only told you that´s impossible for the script to find the config table. In this are all informations about the basic Settings in your board.

The second Question :

You want to make a board or want to install it ???
I don´t understand what you mean with geocities and Frontpage ??? Frontpage is a programm for "developing" Websites and geocities is an Webspace Provider.

So here some basics :

You NEED a Database to run this board, i don´t know really but i think geocities does not offer one in their packages.

You need the ability to run PHP on the webspace, and i think at geocities it´s the same, PHP is not allowed.

Tell me if that´s not the problem and maybe we will find a solution. Wink
