Ok, well if you head over to http://forums.artician.com, you will instantly see all the problems and errors.
Now, the errors above the header I have no idea about, but the errors in the content area are there because of a problem with the DB.
What I want to do, is upgrade my forums to the newest version of phpBB2, so it can be updated and have all the corrupted files replaced. From the version that I have, can I update to the latest version or do I need to download additional versions?
And once I do get the version I need to update to, what should I do If I want to upgrade? I can't just overwrite the entire phpBB2 folder can I?
I'm in desperate help. |

WOW, don't I feel smart
Thanks
Also, what about the upgrading issue. Right now I have my old forums in a folder called phpBB2 and I uploaded the latest version and put it in a folder called phpBB3 just so I wouldn't overwrite my current forums.
And I know that when you go to install/install.php there is a drop down menu for either installing, or upgrading, how would I upgrade my current forums to the latest version.
Can I just overwrite the whole phpBB2 dir with the new version, or does it have to be done through install.php? And if so what else do I have to do?
Thanks so much for the support, it is greatly appreciated. |

im having a similar problem. no corruption down below but this weird header warning signs or whatever. I have no spaces behind ?> at the end of config.php. What should my permissiosn be at for config.php I think I did 644 before everything then I hit finish install then i did 666 again? is that wrong? |

permissions need to be 644 for the config.php file, you do not want others to be able to write to the file. |
