upgraded to phpbb2plus,want to restore old members into new

I successfully upgraded from php2.0.2 to phpbb2 plus 2.0.4
all pages and mods are working properly and i like it

i ve backup of my previous php2.0.2
its size is about 6.2mb

i tried to restore it but failed as phpbb2plus admin panel as well as php my admin dont allow to handle big backup

secondly i tried to insert the back manully by php admin sql query but cant do as there are many differences between old and new

i had over 600 members and i cant loss them

is there any way that i may seprate the code of my members usernames and passwords etc from my data base and then insert them manually by sql query

Saif,

you can not simply import the old database. You have to make the upgrade to phpbb2 plus EXACTLY as described in the docs/mods/readme.html. The phpbb2 UPGRADE SCRIPT has to upgrade your database. You can not simply IMPORT an database from phpbb2.0.2 to a phpbb2.0.4 because the structure is not the same.

there is no way to seprate the code relating to users frm this data base?

there is a very difficult way:

after installing the new version you've to do a backup.
then you copy the users from the old backup (from 2.0.2) to a seperate sql file.
then you have to change serveral things:
at first you've copy the 5,6 + 7th entry from the new to the old (user_session_time, user_session_page, user_lastvisit).
second:
you've to delete entry#30 (user_rank) from all users
third:
you've to copy all entries after user_email (entry #33) from the new to the old.

that's it.
it work's, but of course it isn't a real sollution for over 600 members

can i seprate the email addresses from the old database so i may send message manually to register again at new
