Upgrade from phpBB 2.018

Hi

I have a phpBB 2.018 forum in current use and I want to update the site to run "Plus 1.53"

My first attempt to sync the databases usiing the "Backup & Restore" method produced the following error message:

So, if backup / Restore won't work, how can I achieve my aim? Will inserting data (in phpMyAdmin) into the relevant tables work?

take a fully functioning 2.0.18 (maybe as a copy of the running)
expand plus package - theres an update-folder to upload.
From there you can run all update procs just by calling the /update/index.php
READ the update-instruction before!!
