Help Please!!!!!

I have tested phpbb2 on www.coolfreepages.com as they have php and mysql as standard all worked fine.

my usual host which I dont want to change is www.hostsave.com, they support php but dont mention mysql or any sql.

When I copy the PHPBB2 directory to the ftp and then switch to

www.mydomain-name/phpBB2, I get the installation screen without any problems.

But of course I need a database to run it properly. couple of questions.

1. to try and avoid difficulties, is there an application anywhere that I can use to create an sql database and place it in the ftp folder?

2. is there a website where I can just simply enter a few details and it will make and allow me to download the ready made database?

3. does my host have to support mysql for phpbb2 to work properly?

4. can I use access 2000 to create a database and ftp it, if so how?

youre hoster have to have a sql-database, otherwise phpbb2 will not run...

i don't think that there is another chance to run phpbb2...

if you want to have a board like that, i could give ou a link to a boardsoftware that doesn't need sql as backend..

I was so impressed by phpbb2 that I had to have it installed, so I changed to a proider that had mysql databases and php .

My phpBB2 is up and runing and looking good.
